Public art reinvests spirit and strengthens bonds within the community that can be enjoyed for many years to come. Lewis values public participation in creating public artwork- in this respect he sees himself as an agent to inspire and realise creativity within a community. His workshops are designed to engage as many people as possible irrespective of age or background. The resulting artwork is a group effort and truly representative of those who got involved.
