- Corporate and Charity Commissions

- Introduction

An art commission helps to give a personal quality to a company or charitable organisation. Commissions could include the creation of an original piece of artwork and limited edition prints. This type of commission is ideal to celebrate significant events in your organisation’s development. All commissions can be used to decorate a variety of gift items or promotional material such as courtesy cards, literature or limited edition prints. An example of a recent charity commission is detailed below.

Commission Example: Diary of Hope

Days of Hope is a charity based in Kuwait that has raised funds for a variety of causes in the Middle East and further afield. To raise funds, a year planner ‘Diary of Hope’ is produced. For the year 2011, Lewis has been commissioned to provide 12 paintings to front each month in the planner. The diary will be launched with an exhibition of original paintings at the Radisson SAS hotel in Kuwait in November2010. The diary will be on sale at various outlets in Kuwait including the Al-Maidan Cultural Centre.
